India Enjoys Strong Medal Haul at Commonwealth Games 2026

Glasgow: India produced one of its best performances of the 2026 Commonwealth Games on 31 July, winning medals across boxing, judo, athletics and para-sports. The country’s medal tally received a significant boost as several athletes qualified for gold medal contests.

Indian boxers dominated their respective categories, while judo and athletics also contributed to the medal count. The strong performance positioned India among the leading nations in the overall standings ahead of the final day of competition.

Sports officials praised the athletes’ consistency and said the Glasgow campaign reflected India’s growing strength across multiple sporting disciplines.
