Agartala: Tripura remained under the India Meteorological Department’s rainfall watch on 3 August 2026 as an active monsoon system was expected to bring heavy rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds across the state. Authorities advised residents to remain cautious, particularly in low-lying and landslide-prone areas.
District administrations were instructed to monitor river levels and keep disaster response teams ready in case of waterlogging or flash floods. Fishermen were also advised not to venture into rough sea areas due to adverse weather conditions.
Officials urged the public to follow IMD advisories and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of intense rainfall. Emergency services remained on standby to respond to any weather-related incidents.
