Agartala: The Tripura Government reviewed disaster preparedness on 25 July 2026 following forecasts of continued heavy rainfall across several districts. District administrations were instructed to keep rescue teams, emergency equipment and relief materials ready in case of flooding or landslides.
Officials from the State Disaster Management Authority held coordination meetings with district authorities to monitor river levels and vulnerable areas. Residents living in low-lying regions were advised to remain alert and follow weather advisories issued by the India Meteorological Department.
The administration said emergency response teams would remain on standby throughout the active monsoon period to ensure a quick response to any weather-related emergencies. Citizens were urged not to believe rumours and to rely only on official updates.
