Agartala: The Tripura Government constituted a four-member task force to address public concerns related to the installation and functioning of smart electricity meters across the state. The committee has been asked to examine complaints and recommend practical solutions.
Officials said the task force will review technical issues, billing-related grievances and implementation challenges while coordinating with the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL). The initiative aims to improve consumer confidence and ensure the smooth rollout of smart metering.
The government has appealed to consumers to cooperate with the authorities and report genuine issues through the prescribed channels as the review process continues.
