New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced a protest march scheduled for 3 August 2026, opposing the Centre’s implementation of E20 petrol. The party demanded that consumers be given the option to choose between regular petrol and ethanol-blended fuel.
AAP leaders argued that motorists should not be compelled to use E20 fuel without adequate public consultation. The party said it would submit representations to the Prime Minister highlighting public concerns over the policy.
The Centre has promoted ethanol blending to reduce dependence on imported crude oil and lower emissions. The issue has since become a political debate between the ruling government and the opposition.
