New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi began a three-nation diplomatic tour on 6 July 2026, visiting Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand. The visit is aimed at strengthening India’s strategic partnerships, expanding trade and investment, and enhancing cooperation across the Indo-Pacific region.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the tour includes bilateral meetings with the leaders of all three countries. Discussions are expected to focus on defence cooperation, maritime security, clean energy, technology, education and regional stability. The visit is also intended to reinforce India’s Act East Policy and deepen engagement with key partners in the Asia-Pacific.
Officials said the Prime Minister will participate in high-level meetings and sign several agreements covering trade, investment and strategic cooperation. The visit is expected to open new opportunities for Indian businesses while strengthening collaboration in critical sectors such as digital technology, supply chains and renewable energy.
Diplomatic experts believe the three-nation tour reflects India’s growing role in the Indo-Pacific and its commitment to expanding partnerships with like-minded countries.
