Centre Holds Fresh Talks With Student Protest Leaders Over NEET Reforms

New Delhi: The Central Government held another round of discussions with leaders of the nationwide student protest movement on 25 July 2026 as demonstrations over the NEET paper leak continued across the country. The talks focused on demands for examination reforms, accountability and action against those responsible for the paper leak.

Thousands of students remained at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar while similar demonstrations were reported in several other cities. Security remained tight around the protest venue, and authorities continued to monitor the situation closely.

Government representatives assured protest leaders that their demands were being considered seriously. Student organisations reiterated that they would continue peaceful demonstrations until concrete reforms were announced.
