Putrajaya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his official visit to Malaysia on 31 July 2026, holding discussions with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, semiconductors, defence and digital technology. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to expanding the India–Malaysia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Officials from both countries discussed ways to increase bilateral trade, improve supply-chain resilience and promote collaboration in emerging technologies. The talks also covered regional security and Indo-Pacific cooperation.
The visit is expected to create new opportunities for businesses and further deepen economic and strategic ties between the two countries.
